Dwight Howard doesn't take game serious?

People are now criticizing the Magics center for not taking the game seriously. They are talking about this because the big man is always smiling. His consequence for smiling too much is that they don't think he will ever take the game serious. We are also talking about the same guy who has brought his team to the NBA finals to play the Los Angeles Lakers. He was in top 3 in doubl doubles this season. Led the league in rebounds and blocks per game. Averaged 20 points and 14 rebounds a game and led the Magic to their Best record since 1995 posting up 59 wins. To me he has took the playoffs pretty seriously. So why would they write a article about him not taking it seriously? Off the court he is a outgoing fun guy. But on the court he can get as serious as any other player that walks on the court. There is a difference between smiling because you are glad that your team is in this situation that could take you far. And when his team is down or losing he is the last person that you are going to see smiling or laughing. Besides he is tied for the most technicals in the playoffs. But if you are not taking the game serious why should he recieve technicals. Maybe the writer should think about what he says before he says it.

Will LeBron stay in Cleveland?

With this series lost for Cleveland I think LeBron has had enough of the Cavaliers. He believed that he had a chance to win the NBA title this year but all those dreams vanished as he saw the last seconds of the season tick away. LeBron after the game did not say anything to any reporters. Just left the arena without saying anything and went on the team and back to Cleveland. A lot of people said that he is going to end up in New York. To either play for the Knicks or the Nets. The Nets have become front runners for LeBron in the summer of 2010 because of the relationship between James and Jay-Z. Jay-Z is part owner of the soon to be Brooklyn Nets who are for now called the New Jersey Nets. I think that LeBron is going to leave Cleveland because this was the year for the Cavs. They are not going to get another shot like this next year due to the fact that the celtics and magic are getting their all stars back from injuries. People thought Mo Williams was the key to the Cleveland problems. But I guess that was not it. LeBron is tired of being the lone star of the team. He needs to sign with a team that he knows can win a title and has another star on the team looking for a duo.

The Boston Celtics

What happened to the Boston Celtics? I guess they couldn't win a NBA title without the trio. The Celtics really missed Kevin Garnett this post season as they were eliminated in the second round by the Magic. They were embarassed in front of their home crowd in game 7 as they were destroyed by the magic by a final score of 101-82. And the Celtics lost their chances of having a repeat. After having one of the best season in Celtics history last year to end it with a series win against the Lakers to capture their 17th title. Then the injury to Kevin Garnett during the season is what cost the Celtics a shot at a repeat. They went from 66 wins last year to 62 wins this year. Its not a big drop. It is still a excellent record. And you have to remember that at the end of the season the Celtics did not have the big ticket and they still managed to grab the number 2 seed in the eastern conference. They were three games ahead of the Orlando Magic who were in the number 3 seed and 4 games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers who were the overall number one seed. Maybe the next year when kevin garnett comes back they will get another shot for the NBA record 18th title.

If Orlando Wins.......

If Orlando wins this year I know that the Magic are going to be confident enough to think that they can repeat. You have to remember that the Magic don't even have their star point guard Jameer Nelson. There was a statement made by a ESPN anaylist that the Magic would clearly be the best team if Jameer Nelson never got injured. I agree def because Jameer Nelson made his first all star game and was having a breakout season. Had 17 points a game and 5 assists. Was a 50 percent shooter and a 45 percent 3pt shooter. A 50 percent shooter for a point guard is excellent. You rarely get those kind of point guards that shoot that well. Rafer is a good guard in all but I think it would be a lot different if the Magic still had Jameer Nelson. Before the Jameer Nelson got injured the Magic were 34 and 10 and posted a 33-8 halfpoint record. Hands down Orlando would easily take this series with Jameer Nelson. The Lakers would still have a chance against the Magic with Nelson but it wouldn't be as good as it is with Rafer. But I still have the Magic winning in 6. With Nelson I would have the Magic winning in 5.

Are the magic good enough?

Can the Magic beat the Lakers? The Magic have a few advantages on their sides. Like the small and power forward and center spot. Bynum will have trouble by himself covering Dwight Howard. And I don't even know how Trevor Ariza and Pau Gasol can cover Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu. Derek Fisher will have problems with Rafer Alston speed. As we look back to the second round of the NBA playoffs. Derek Fisher could not contain Aaron Brooks due to the lack of speed comparison of Brooks and Fisher. Brooks was too quick for Fisher and that is why Brooks averaged around 18 points a game. Rafer Alston and that much different. Rafer loves to run around the screens and shoot that 3 pointer. Fisher has had many problems getting around those screens. The matchup that is really going to hurt the Magic is the Bryant and Lee matchup. Lee is just a rookie and were talking about a rook guarding one of the best players in the NBA besides LeBron James. To me the Orlando Magic have the matchup edge. They are most likely going to double team Kobe Bryant and that should leave a wide open man on the floor for the Lakers. Lets just hope that the Lakers team can support Bryant unlike the Cavaliers who had trouble shooting as a team without James.

Jordan and the number 12

What many people might not know is that Michael Jordan in one game of his career against the Orlando Magic he wore number 12 instead of his regular number 23. He wore number 12 in a basketball game after his jersey was stolen from the away team's locker room while the bulls were on the road. Which is when they versed the Orlando Magic. How could the jersey of gotten stolen if i was in the locker room. Could of it been a player or a fan. And how if somebody did steal it could of it got out of the arena knowing that there is janitors and security guards all over the NBA arena. The person must of planned it out real good to have got something like. And it was for free. We are talking about a actual players jersey that they wear in the game. And it is not just any player. It was the greatest player to ever play the game Michael Jordan.

Orlando Magic win it in 6

The Orlando Magic have won the Eastern Conference Championship by defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers who were predicted to beat the Magic in 5 games and it turn out that the Magic defeat the Cavaliers in 6 games. On Saturday night the Magic locked their birth in the NBA finals by defeating the Cavaliers 103-90. LeBron James was held to 25 points in the games. Which is still good because he had 25 points, 7 rebound, and 7 assists. But it was not as good as his average 41 points a game in the series before Saturdays game. The Orlando Magic will play game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday in Los Angeles to take on the Lakers. The game starts at 9 pm. The first 2 games will be played in Los Angeles and then the next 3 games will be played in Orlando and the series will finish off the next 2 games back in Los Angeles for games 6 and 7 if the series gets that far.
